  1. I know nothing about that guitar other than it's way cool!

Can't help you on the Hagstrom front I'm afraid.
  3. Wow! I have no other words. A very worthy entry into what I'm guessing will be a very tough competition. Good luck.
  4. Again, no experience with those guitars myself.
  5. Apple’s own headphone adapter is just £9 and generic ones are available even cheaper. Lady Ez wanted to use the wired earbuds/mic combo for conference calls on her iPhone 7 and given it was less than a tenner, paying the extra for the branded product and avoiding any connection glitches seemed worth it. YMMV.
  6. I’m glad someone got in on that action. A proper, all round, workhorse guitar (spot the P90 fanboy).
  7. @leftybassman392 has given you a very comprehensive answer. You are, as he says, limited by your amp. A pedal is by far and away the cheapest option and you can still keep it when you move onto another amp.
  8. I've found it! It's a Dean DS90.
  9. Sessioncake for sale on our sister site https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/434833-yamaha-sc-01-sessioncake-headphone-mixer-amp/
  10. I really liked that, you have some very impressive chops, sir. Steve Vai would be proud of that solo.
  11. I used to have a Korg Pandora PX4 which was pretty good as a desktop practise tool. There’s one on eBay for £24 plus postage at the moment.
  12. Great tone on the lead line, really thick for a Tele bridge p/up. What amp/fx did you use on that? Really nice playing too. I don’t play guitar as much as I used to, my main focus is bass these days but I had a noodle on my Tele yesterday - yikes, I suck!
  13. It’s a well known fact that I’m a DiMarzio fanboy. I’ve use SDs in the past but, whilst they’re good and an upgrade from generic, manufacturer fitted, I’ve mostly been underwhelmed, whereas DiMarzios have always given me that stupid, new tone grin. This is probably down to me choosing the wrong SD pickups for my needs, which I can only put down to the so so customer service I’ve received from SD. On the other hand, I’ve had nothing but stellar service from DiMarzio, no query is too small for them it seems, I’ve even had Steve Blucher answer my emails in the past and he’s worked directly with Satch and Vai to name just 2. So, in short, have a look around their website and then drop them a line with your tonal requirements to see if what you’ve picked out matches your actual needs.
  14. Always good to see another BC refugee.
  15. Miss off the high G and finger the D with your pinky, you'll still get the full 9th 'flavour'. Then you can slide the pinky up a semi-tone for a full on, Hendrix #9; Foxy!
  16. Not experience with them here, but I like that I now have a great excuse for a new guitar, “Something’s wrong with one, Honey. I can’t fix it, I need a new one.” Genius!
  17. Humbucker sized P90s are your best bet. I maybe wrong, but I think 250k ohm pots are preferred for single coils. However, that doesn’t mean your current 500k ones (I assume) won’t work. It seems that some folk like a combination of both https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?256168-What-Pot-value-for-P-90-s-250k-or-500k&p=3387239
  18. A lot of folk on Basschat (my self included) bought and were/are very impressed with the Yamaha Sessioncake. It was a pretty stonking deal at the time, £10 + carriage and now, unsurprisingly, sold out at that retailer. However, even with the now higher price, you could buy one of these and stick your preferred FX in front of it.

Ad Dad says, Yamaha are a pretty safe bet for any musical instrument at any price point, I've certainly never played a bad one.

Here’s the thing, you can spend as little as £50 or as much as £8k+.
  21. Hmm . The only thing I can think of is that the ball end is dangling a bit free and isn't sitting against the bridge correctly.
  22. It could be that it’s twisted. Take it off and put it back on again, trying to keep it as straight as possible (perhaps wind it around the peg a little before seating it in the bridge). The other option is that it’s a dead string (it happens). If the restring doesn’t work, you can always buy a single string to replace it, a damned nuisance to be sure, but perhaps something you could take up with the manufacturer.

Hi Lisa, What sort of budget are you looking at?
  24. There is the Epiphone specific hard case but it’s not cheap https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/epiphone-940-e519-es-335-hard-case?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1ZCg2fDK6QIViK3tCh1LSQt8EAUYAyABEgL8CPD_BwE
  25. Firstly On the guitar front, I can’t help you I’m afraid. It looks decidedly ‘80s with that Kramer Superstrat styling.
