  1. Guessing your a Andertons fan ? I remember going to the first shop when I was a boy.
  2. Ah that’s good to know.. Hows your important appeal going ?
  3. True but I think the Gretsches tops are designed to have them bolted on. They can still be real hard work to keep in tune. I wouldn’t let Neil Young loose on it.
  4. I like 10’s but haven’t used them on our strats because of trust rod adjustments on normal tuning.
  5. I fell in love with 12 string guitars in the early 60s as a kid . My uncle used to take me to his bands practice in school and village halls and a scout hut. Some of the various band members had them and I just loved the sound. Then came George Harrison and the Byrds and I was well and truly hooked for life. This time round my buying choices are best sound for the money. Im not a guitar make snob . I don’t play live anymore but if I did I wouldn’t have any qualms about using any of the guitars I’ve bought during lockdown because they are all up to it. There are a lot of great economically priced quality build great sounding guitars out there now that really do sound amazing for the money and give the Fender Gibson’s and others a good run for the money these days
  6. If that’s fully hollow body doesn’t the bigsby stress the guitar top? Does it stay in tune ? I would be scared of the bigsby coming away if I was playing it.
  7. Matt, You might find this interesting? The HB red Tele.costs £79. Its a excellent guitar. Comes in a range of colours. I like the blue. https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_te_20mn_ca_standard_series.htm?ref=search_rslt__461102_1_2
  8. I’m so pleased with the 6 and 12 string I decided to order the bass. UPS are delivering it on Monday.
  9. I bought both in black. Just waiting for them to arrive.
  10. I’ve bought this HB 12string. and this HB 6 string.
  11. I don’t know it’s name but have seen pictures before. lovely looking guitar. Its definitely worth looking after setting up and using. The inside label reminds me of this.
  12. A mate has had both the 12 and 6 string for ages and setup straight out of the box was really good. He just put his favourite strings on both Oiled fret board polished frets and was good to go. I’ve been waiting months for them to come back into stock because of coronavirus. The price has gone up a little but both still offer exceptional SQ and value for money.
  13. Ah would be better if it just said report. Thanks for the info.
  14. In the 60s and 70s it used to be Hero to Zero if you didn’t turn everything down before plugging and unplugging jacks from guitars. Todays amps are designed to cope much better. I still turn everything right down from force of habit.
  15. Why is there not a report facility on this forum ? You keep letting Trolls through??
  16. I’m leaning more towards the black versions.
  17. You said this regarding a simple 3 string box guitar kit ( intrigued by the kits, but I'm not sure I have what it takes for the assembly skills.)And you want to build a Strat ?
  18. It comes built just string fitting needed. I wouldn’t bother changing jack socket to use as a lefty just use a angled jack £32.88 on amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/Electric-Blues-Box-Slide-Guitar/dp After watching the above video I’ve bought one for myself and for my son for a bit of fun. I will round off the neck straight edges though. Will only take a few minutes to do with a Stanley blade and a sanding block.
  19. Mayu is a internet troll. You need to sort out who joins this forum??
  20. PMT are quite prolific on YouTube with two guys that are interesting to watch. So I don’t think you can blame pricing on bricks and mortar Shops. If you are a big chain of shops like PMT are. The internet shopping part of there business should be massive by now. Especially now in these coronavirus times.
  21. Jazz Club

    Mike

A Bong looper delay. I really like the song.
  22. How can I stop really fit female groupies from throwing themselves at the guitarists and singers and throw themselves at the drummer? Was my O level research.
  23. £215 will get you one of these excellent Harley Benton 12 strings from Thomann.
