  1. Cheers. It was a wonderful gift from a friend who owned a shop in Denmark Street years back. He kept it after a p/x though wasn’t into playing it, but I’d always get it out anytime I visited him. One day when I visited him in Cornwall he gave it to me, saying he was going to anyway in his will, but he could see how much I was enjoying it. Needless to say I’m so thankful.
  2. £140 posted. Bought in March 2023. As new, boxed with all candy. Overdrive, distortion, and boost settings. Licensed version of the infamous Prince of Tone pedal, known for its stunning clarity. Tiny footprint is a huge bonus too.
  3. 15 years after getting my Martin parlour, which is in the first post of this thread, and 3 years after saying in that post I’d get it restored, I finally did and just got it back The out of place full size bridge was replaced with the proper smaller pyramid style - it’s a bit scarred now because of that, but it is over 180 years old so I can live with that! To make it look less scarred would have compromised the original finish, rosette and vibe. It’s also got new tuners, cracks were fixed, and the back was French polished. Feel blessed to be a custodian of this one. Would love to know it’s stories.
  4. Tightest of squeezes on my board, and a firm refusal to get a bigger one, hence selling the Fender Santa Ana to @Soledad The Boss Waza Chorus adds a bit of volume so it goes in before the comp, hence the odd placement of the input lead due to space issues.
  5. The MXR Custom Shop Micro Amp with the tone controls might help with swapping guitars and adding volume/ character? Great pedal Otherwise, huge fan of Fralin pups.
  6. Do like a top 3… This week it’d be: John Frusciante David Gilmour Neil Young
  7. Douglas bought a pedal from me - friendly communication and an easy sale. Thanks @Soledad
  8. Cheers Douglas for the very kind words, moreover really pleased you’re chuffed with the pedal. I’ve just been playing, and I’m missing it on my board. It’s a small board (hence the sale) and my other ODs as great as they are just can’t bring the muscle that the Fender can. Not that I usually need the muscle, but it’s nice to have on tap eh?!
  9. Cool little pedal, nice and warm analogue chorus. Good condition, no issues. Comes with box and unused underplate. Has Velcro on rear.
  10. £1250 ono US made, 2018, Original 60s series in Candy Apple Red. Superb quality. 65 pure vintage pickups and 9.5 radius board. Clean front and neck, with some marks on the back and paint chip around the neck pocket (as often happens on these for truss adjustments). Comes with original hard case, trem, and ashtray cover.
  11. Great condition, home use only and kept on my pedal board. Obligatory velcro on rear. Very versatile due to the EQ and gives you classic tones.
  12. In unmarked original condition tobacco sunburst and original case. Single humbucking pickup with control knobs, bridge, scratchplate, tailpiece and tuning buttons in solid ebony and gold fittings. Bound neck with block inlay. There is a hairline lacquer crack from the left side of the pickup to the base of the body.
  13. Reluctant sale forced by longstanding shoulder issues. Bought new by me in December 2019, very well looked after and nicely set up. I used a sound hole tuner, which has left a small mark caused by reaction to the nitro - doh! It doesn’t look too bad (see pics), but I’ll include the tuner with the sale, very handy. 14. USA Gibson SG Special, made in 2004, good condition for the age, it’s been looked after and is all original. Sorry, no case or bag. Collection from Harrow. Please contact me via Basschat if you’re interested https://www.basschat.co.uk/profile/30715-chiliwailer/ Cheers
  15. £200 Squier Standard Telecaster made in 2006, Candy Apple Red. Lots of upgrades, set up very well and plays/sounds great. Upgrades - Fender Vintage Noiseless neck pickup. Beautifully clean and yet nice and warm. - DiMarzio Pre B1 bridge pickup. Like a warm pre CBS pickup, takes away the usual high Tele zing in the bridge position yet still bites. This is far nicer than the Vintage Noiseless bridge pickup which sounded harsh and sterile. - USA pots and orange drop 0.01 capacitor. The pots give you the best of the pickups and the 0.01 cap means that you can use the tone to make the guitar warm, not muddy. - new jack which takes right angled leads (Switchcraft?). - proper Tele knobs. The original parts are also included, apart from the jack and strap buttons which are for a Schaller locking systems. Comes with a well padded gig bag (bass size). Collection from Harrow HA1 4UW
  16. Now £70 Home use only, great condition. Large board measuring 24” x 16”. Link to my Basschat feedback https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/216739-feeback-for-chiliwailer/?tab=comments#comment-2593093
  17. Amazing compressor, which also sounds awesome on bass. The LEDS are very helpful and keep you on track if comp isn’t your usual thing. Reviewed in the link below. http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/empress.shtml Great condition, works perfectly. Has Velcro on rear. Lomk to my Basschat feedback https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/216739-feeback-for-chiliwailer/?tab=comments#comment-2593093
  18. Loads of fun for £25, entry level multi fx unit with amp simulations and built in drums and loop option. Great condition, works perfectly. Takes batteries, which have a good shelf life, or can be used with a 9v PSU. I also have a Boss PSA-240 I can sell with it for £10. I’ve got tons of feedback on Basschat. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/216739-feeback-for-chiliwailer/?tab=comments#comment-2593093 Cheers.
  19. Now that’s something I’d love to see... (hear?!)
  20. Good stuff...I’ve just noticed that in my haste I posted an over complicated version! All the best with it
  21. Love it when people get creative.... Any others out there?
  22. Hey, sorry for the late reply, haven’t logged on in a long time. Typically we have 250k for single coil and 500k for h/b. Do it the other way around and the singles become harsh and the h/b becomes muddy, Some folks use 500k volume pots on a HSS but then use 500k or 470k resistors which are wired to kick in when the single coils are selected, this makes them more like 250k pot which is really what you’d want for single coils. See the photo below... Regarding caps, it’s 100% personal preference IMO, depending on how muddy, middy or clear you want it when you turn the tone down.
