I must say that the YouTube videos don't really do it justice, even Yamaha haven't over egged the pudding in their own promos. What I don't understand is how this passed me by when it first came to the market. I guess, much the same as my reaction, the guitar buying public have seen it as a gimmick and 'not a proper' acoustic. The current discounts available for both L and F ranges would support this notion, I think. I'm unsupervised (Lady Ez is away down to London) for the next few days, so I may do something rash ;).

Yeah Youtube videos must be watched with a grain of salt. You are so lucky you are unsupervised, you see... it's destiny  ;)  When I am unsupervised I eat sweeties as I am always kept on strict diet like a pedigree dog. We only eat nutritional values... and you know what? I hate veggies!

  2. Thanks for posting this, I really enjoyed reading your story. And why not? Go for it! I didn't know the guitar myself and watched a youtube video, I have to say that I'm impressed. I love it and somehow it reminds me of the fender Acustasonic where you have both electric sound and acustic vibes or vice versa for this Yamaha model. Go for it, follow your guts, and keep us posted.

It is too much my friend. I wish you luck with your sale, but think about it... do you realize what you can buy new for £1325? If you want to sell, you have to make it worth it for the buyer. If you want to win the lottery buy a scratch card. I mean no disrespect, just reasoning.

Even if there actually are a few people willing to buy your guitar for that price, you have to find them. Here on this forum the whole advert and sale is totally free, but if you wanted to use Ebay, let's say, I think that these days they take something like 15% of your profit.

Why don't you post something like "my dear friends, I have this and this to sell, will you please help me determine a fair price, etc... is anybody interested by the way?" There are knowledgeable people here.

Hi it is very weird indeed. In this case I would rather disagree with Dad3353 because since it happened twice in the same place, it is not bad luck. There is a problem of some sort.

See if this helps. The string snaps between the tuner and the nut. Correct? That can only mean that when you increase the tension of the string with the tuner the nut does not let it move freely and creates some sort of weird tension. Makes sense to me but, I am just guessing.

    Hi Guys,

I stumbled upon this video on Youtube and I really fell in love with the song this fellow is playing as an intro for the first 2 minutes. Can anybody help me give it a name, so I can study it?

PS No, I am not considering buying this guitar, unless they make it in fluorescent pink of course 🤣

    Many thanks

    Frank

  6. You must be attached to that guitar because it has been with you for so long etc and must feel very special to you, however commercial value is a whole different story and ezbass is likely to be pretty much right. Well, good luck with it anyway.

I would recommend buying a digital multi effect board, like the Mooer GE300 or something. Think of it. You get all of the effects in the world; you can use your guitar with headset and be as loud or quite as you like; and you can also connect your board to any computer speakers and play your guitar out loud.

  8. Get one, play it and see for yourself. Everybody's gonna tell you something different. If you asked me, I'd say that the biggest issue is how long your interest is gonna last. Get an entry level model and begin your journey, there's nothing else to know.
