I’ve been guitar shop today an nothing tickled my fancy at what I could afford. I’ve then come home went onto Thomson and ordered myself a Harley Benton HB-35plus for £205

I like it in read and I like the hollow (or semi-hollow) body. Everybody says Harley Benton are very good value but you have to change a few parts and possibly take care of the frets. I don't know them from experience though. I was tempting by a Cabronita replica but in the end I didn't buy it because I couldn't be bother with upgrading it. Still I have a Harley Benton power supply and it works very well. Good luck with your new guitar.

Ok I see the problem now. It has to be fixed or it's gonna ge worse.

The jack is held in place by a nut, this nut probably went loose

You can access the nut from the back of your guitar

Find the plastic cover that corresponds to the position of the jack

Remove the screws and open the tray

Now you should see the inner side of the jack and the nut that went loose

Tighten the nut and you're done

Ps this instruction should be correct, however I'm not sure what is the exact model of your guitar. Also you may find a youtube tutorial to guide you if needed.

    Hi Tom,

good to have you here. I hope you enjoy the ride!  🥳

I could actually do with some advice since you're a pro. My guitar fell the other day and the neck broke in two pieces. Now I fixed the problem with some sellotape but intonation isn't perfect any more. What did I do wrong? 🤣

  4. I only play with headphones, it's my choice, and I have some experience. I have an Audio-Technica model (not sure which one, but I can let you know if you're interested) that has incredibly positive reviews. There are a few things designed for guitars, boss makes a wireless model, quite pricey, etc. but any decent headphones will get the job done. The major concern IMO is to get something with a good fit, because you may be find yourself playing for long. So anything for gaming etc will do, trust me.

    Hi everyone,

I'm putting together a list of the best shops to buy guitar parts, for future reference and for the community. This is what I have so far, please let me know if you know any other good shops.
