I have a PA that would work fine with my old Android phone which required 3.5 Jack but I have a Samsung flip 6 that requires C type adapter which I have added but now there's no sound coming out of the PA or the video freezes. any suggestions?
if i came across a good deal via internet on a gibson explorer (not korina) what kind of tone would it have compared to my epi explorer that is korina wood if they had same pickups, strings, yadda, yadda?
A few years ago I bought a Blue Ridge 12 string with the confidence that I would soon be able to remove my finger picks and apply my scruggs style technique to the 12 string and be able to emulate the one and only Leo Kotke.......... Well, it did kind of sound like him, if he flipped his guitar to lefty and played it with his bare feet. just had to get that off my chest. So sad
Capo? cAPO!! We dont need no stinkin' CAPO!!......... Unless im playing in standard onAcoustic or banjo. i couldnt think of anything either. But I have been known to redneck the s*#t out of some stuff. As long as its not electronic. Thanks for the input
At the time, screw size and something else that i cant recall but screw size mainly. I'm using dense foam strips as wedges for now but If I leave the house with that particular gtr, I'm afraid itWont beDurable enough.
Influencial for me would be tom johnson from doobie bros, rhythm guitar player on The Cars stuff (elliott easton?) and george thorogood and since I started in bluegrass banjo around 1982, earl scruggs. But later I definently began noticing EVH, nuno bettencourt, mustaine, dimebag.
i have a thin body single cutaway type guitar made in Miss. that has a very thin neck. I have played slide on it a few times with 10's tuned no higher than open G but was wondering i there a Semi permanent way to stiffen up the neck to accomodate 11's tuned up to open A#. I dont plan on sellingGtr but do no want to permanently alter........ And i dont care how it looks just don't want to damage neck. Truss is doing all it can.
Not tube but I likeroland microcubes enough to have bought 3 of them for backup to my backup micro. Usually played without pedals but handled the ones I used without issue. And they can get loud while taking up minimum space.
Sorry had to leave. Didnt know where to sign out. Great scenery out there. Only seen it on film. Best friend's grandfather got shot on one of Normady beaches, with U.S. Marines. Back to your road, we dont have alot of sand in TN unless you go up into the mountains nearby. Not sureWhy theres sand there though.
Jeff Beck for keeping it fresh when playing live. Brian Setzer for the licks and TONE and making me realize I'll never be able to play like that. So I have now played slide for almost 20 yrs.
Havent read replies so may be repeating someones comment. Mabe Tony Iomni patented something for the fingers and he used drop D tuning. Try open tunings like open G. I play bottleneck style slide in different tunings and do my own stuff but I've played everything from albert collins to megadeth with my emphasis on rhythm. It doesnt sound like slide unless I want it to. I also began playing ukulele that i use banjo tunings on and get mandolin sounds on.
