I fitted one to a full size Casino years ago, no issues there either. It also just occurs to me that Epi do (or did)  a Bigsby equipped one too https://www.andertons.co.uk/electric-guitars/epiphone-gary-clark-jr-blak-blu-casino-with-bigsby

I wouldn’t let Neil Young loose on any guitar, or microphone if I had my way 😖. YMMV.

Guessing your a Andertons  fan ?

I remember going to the first shop when I was a boy.

  2. I fell in love with 12 string guitars in the early 60s as a kid .

My uncle used to take me to his bands practice in school and village halls and a scout hut.

Some of the various band members had them and I just loved the sound.

Then came George Harrison and the Byrds and I was well and truly hooked for life.

This time round my buying choices are best sound for the money.

Im not a guitar make snob .

I don’t play live anymore but if I did I wouldn’t have any qualms about using any of the guitars I’ve bought during lockdown because they are all up to it.

There are a lot of great economically priced quality build great sounding guitars out there now that really do sound amazing for the money and give the Fender Gibson’s and others a good run  for the money these days

Fully hollow, light as a feather (at least it was until I stuck a Bigsby on it). Needed a fret dress as there were a couple of high frets up at the dusty end (they were a bit rough too) but the job they did at Guitar Guitar, Epsom was top notch - money well spent. The neck is quite chunky, but not uncomfortably so and makes it feel a bit more ‘solid’.

What’s sauce for the goose, etc...

If that’s fully hollow body doesn’t the bigsby stress the guitar top?

Does it stay in tune ?

I would be scared of the bigsby coming away if I was playing it.

Black for me. These bad boys benefit from a decent setup, the singer/guitarist in one of my bands has one of these and pre setup, it was a tuning PITA (still not a breeze, but better).

A mate has had both the 12 and 6 string for ages and setup straight out of the box was really good.

He just put his favourite strings on both Oiled fret board polished frets and was good to go.

I’ve been waiting months for them to come back into stock because of coronavirus.
The price has gone up a little  but both  still offer exceptional SQ and value for money.

There is a 'Report' link on every post (top right; take your cursor up there and it becomes more visible...). Try it out. I've Reported several posts (including in this topic...), and the Mods and Admin take 'em very seriously. 'Trolls' do not get through for long.
    Hope this helps. B|

Ah would be better if it just said report.

    Thanks for the info.😎

  6. In the 60s and 70s it used to be Hero to Zero if you didn’t turn everything down before plugging and unplugging jacks from guitars.

Todays amps are designed to cope much better.
I still turn everything right down from force of habit.

  7. It comes built just string fitting needed.

I wouldn’t bother changing jack socket to use as a lefty just use a angled jack

    £32.88 on amazon.

After watching the above video I’ve bought one for myself and for my son for a bit of fun.

I will round off the neck straight edges though.

Will only take a few minutes to do with a Stanley blade and a sanding block.

Gah, so many different things, but I'm guessing that few of them will be pertinent 😂. If it's with regard to your DT projects, then I'd probably go down the case route (I like a combined stool and stand, but there's little I can think of that would improve on products already out there, so if you decide on that, copy what's available). A robust, yet lightweight case that securely holds your instrument, pedals and bits and bobs is something I'd look at (individual, customisable compartments for the pedals and accessories would be a nice touch). Good luck with your project and don't forget to share some photos when you're done.

    Mayu is a internet troll.

You need to sort out who joins this forum??

I would guess that part of it is that PMT are primarily brick and mortar stores where you can go in and haggle, whereas the internet 'works different'. I'd also expect thnigs to be a little more expensive in a bricks and mortar store because of increased overheads, though not £300 different.

Doubtless lefties are a little more expensive to make because of retooling, lower demand and such, but I do also feel we often get the shaft in pricing because we don't have the same range of options. Things have improved in many stores, but evne twety years ago it wasn't uncommon to walk into a guitar shop and them not have a single lefty in stock. I badly miss Holiday Music in Leytonstone....

PMT are quite prolific on YouTube with two guys that are interesting to watch.

So I don’t think you can blame pricing on bricks and mortar Shops.

If you are a big chain of shops like PMT are.

The internet shopping part of there business should be massive by now.

Especially now in these coronavirus times.
