It's portable, easy to use, and provides excellent sound recording capabilities.
To quote Faith No More, "What is it?"

I just use Jim Dunlop lemon oil on my fretboards. They darken naturally over time, anyway.

What about the Mooer Triangle Buff? It's roughly in your price range new and within it used. If you are looking for a bluesy overdrive, i can recommend the Mooer Blues Crab. it's a great wee pedal.

I saw this in the other place It's a lovely looking guitar. How does it play and sound?

Good to have you back Shawn and I'm glad to see you are sticking with it!

To be fair, the set up on the Harley Benton TE52 Telecaster which I have, was not bad as it came. I did tweak it a bit, and ended up swapping the neck pick up for a PAF, but it was genuinely playable right out of the box and would have been okay even if I left it completely stock. It's on par with my Fender Telecaster which was obviously a lot more expensive, but frankly, that's just a case of having paid for the name.
Even if a guitar does require a bit of setting up, it's usually only about 40 quid for a guitar tech to do it, although if you have some fairly basic tools, you can do it yourself and there are a ton of videos on youtube which will show you how to do this. It's not rocket science; if you are the kind of person who can wire a plug, you can do a guitar set up.
I have the TE-62 and it was the same. The actin could maybe be a little lower, but it's perfectly playable as is. Some of the fret ends are a tiny bit sharp, but they don't affect the playability and I've felt worse.

I have a couple of Harley Bentons and the quality on both is decent. In fact, one of them cost me £138 but the quality is on a par with instruments I've seen at two or three times the price. The one she has chosen will be great for her to start out on. You might need to take it to a guitar technician to get the setup just right on it, but you can wait until it comes to find that out.

What about the Laney Cub Super 12? It's 15W but can be dropped to 1W and has a series effects loop

There are other bodies offering grades too.
I've considered doing the grades, but keep asking myself why - would I be trying to prove something to myself or someone else.

Looks great! Enjoy.

Good to have you here!

The fact that you say it gets better after a while leads me to think that it's a technique problem. If you aren't holding the string down with enough pressure, you will get buzzing (be careful not to press to hard, or the note will sound sharp).

my christmas pressy hasn't come yet, hopefully soon though and I'll post a picture when it does (it's Brian May related, not that I'm a fan boi or anything, I just love his guitars)
Is it a big curly wig?

I started Guitar at 54 years of age in Oct. or Nov. 2023, I got a first act given to me the ME952 (blue apple strat style) as far as I can get it traced. Then I assembled Swamp Thing (bexgears tele kit) I am mainly scales/spidering. But over the last 2-3 practice runs I found myself actually playing few easy bars/lines of music. But as soon as I hear some one else around back to scales and spidering IDK it is like my ZEN or if one prefers Matthew 6 when thou prays do so in secret and be rewarded openly. As I stated I do not know when I am on the guitar alone it is almost Zen, Religious, Spiritual when others arrive it is kinda back in the shell sort of thing. Anyone Else?
I was in the guitar shop last week and was going try a couple of acoustics, but there was another guy in, playing and he was excellent, so i just couldn't do it.

There's only about £25 difference between the two and you can always turn the mg30gfx, so I would probably go with that.

I bought the LT25 recently. It's great for home playing. I haven't had the volume up high, but suspect that it could be used in very small venues for gigging. It has 30 built-in profiles, with another 20 or so "hidden" profiles. It has about 25 empty profiles that you can customise. There are a couple of built-in profiles that I really like when playing my Ibanez and Harley Benton.

Are you able to try them both?
-
I can't say I've ever heard of them.

I'm willing to bet that almost no one in the audience will be able to tell the difference.
