I want to make 2 guitars:
1) A version of a PRS 509 but semi hollow with a bound neck and Yamaha MSG body shape. Limba chambered body, laminated flame maple and limba through neck. Not sure about pickups yet but i want to have a jazzy archtop sound in the neck, strat positions 2 and 4 and Les Paul in the bridge. Probably will get a set of custom wound Armstrongs.
2) A version of the Suhr Custom. Mahogany or limba solid body with set in flame maple neck, Lace HSS Sensors, TBX and EXG circuits.
Both will have the ludicrously rare Wilkinson VS100C convertible trem, flamed maple carved tops front and back.
Go for it. I converted to guitars with new hardware and electronics. I used Wilkinson trenolo and can't fault it.
Have you looked at irongear pick ups?

Thanks. Looks like the previous wiring I dismantled with capacitor soldered to volume and tone pot.
Would there be a much sound difference if I wired up classic strat wiring with CRL 5 way switch?

Thanks. This works for a standard 8 pin switch. The one I have has 7 pins with an extra 8th pin which seems to be ground.

it's an eight in line switch. 8th is a ground.

I've bought a second hand strat for a project. The blade switch has a 7 pin to connect pups and pots to it. The 8th pin is connected to casing.
I didn't take notes before I de soldered the wires now I'm struggling to wire it up to work as a 5 way blade switch.
Anyone has a diagram how to wire a 7 pin switch to work as a 5 way strat switch?

Hello, I've been playing more guitar than bass in last few years. Looking forward to this.
