*SOLD Fender Squier JV Telecaster 1982 Butterscotch £1325
£1865
WV14 West Midlands

Recommended Posts

Original 40 year old JV Telecaster (not the newer JV modified 50’s model) Nice condition, cloth wiring, all slot screws, good action, minimal fret wear. Sounds amazing.
The serial No. JV30408 from the JV Registry dates from around Dec 82. If it’s essential to check the neck date stamp, I can take it off when firming up a sale.

I’ve owned and gigged with this guitar over many years but I haven’t used it for a long time since playing bass. I’ve now decided to sell it…regrettably.
As Ive just taken it from under the ottoman after lying there for about 20years (slack strings of course) I now recall that the tone pot and p/u selector switch were replaced…which is understandable and the control well was screened.
My son has also borrowed it on many occasion years ago, performing Graham (Blur) Coxon stuff through a Marshall 100 and 4x12.

I compared it to a Fender American vintage 52 (1952) reissue when they were released, which had a nice buttery sound, but didn’t have the voicing and power of the JV which I preferred and kept.

I accidentally came about buying this after buying a brand new Gibson SG USA Standard from pre PMT in Birmingham. It was a mistake, and within 24hours I took the SG back to the shop because I didn’t feel happy with it and came away with this JV Tele which blew it away. Comes with original JV tweed case.

Welcome to test here in Coseley, West Midlands before purchase

Fire away for any more pictures

Cheers,

Geoff

It is too much my friend. I wish you luck with your sale, but think about it... do you realize what you can buy new for £1325? If you want to sell, you have to make it worth it for the buyer. If you want to win the lottery buy a scratch card. I mean no disrespect, just reasoning.

Even if there actually are a few people willing to buy your guitar for that price, you have to find them. Here on this forum the whole advert and sale is totally free, but if you wanted to use Ebay, let's say, I think that these days they take something like 15% of your profit.

Why don't you post something like "my dear friends, I have this and this to sell, will you please help me determine a fair price, etc... is anybody interested by the way?" There are knowledgeable people here.
