I've had the Blackstar 1W and 5W. Even the 5W was relatively quiet. You don't cover drums with that. But it's a great bedroom amp!

My favorite fuzz pedal -although a VERY classic choice:

How can you not have a Digitech like this:

Every pedalboard should have one

I would say that with a beginner model like this one, you can't really go wrong:

Then if you want to upgrade later, you have tons of options !

I don't know how small or big you can go, but for a travel amp, this one is my favorite. And not only mine's!

Now, if you want something bigger, that's another story.

Dang it man, your right at PRICE POINT for what it is and does for a home Guitarist, in my searches I have seen worse, at higher prices. I copied, it warrants further investigation
Go for it... GET IT, you know you want it

I'm loving this all. For years I've wanted something very much like that for plugging in headphones or hooking up to the PC at home. I've not bought anything as yet because I'm not really interested in most of the potential they have - years ago, I bought a Vox Valvetronix (still got it). The original, blue cloth one, size of an AC30, 2x12. Thing is I only ever used one amp model, and I don't bother with the built in effects. Something like this, though, I might be more inclined towards as at that price, as long as the sound I want is good, it doesn't matter so much more of it is "wasted"....And to be fair, even something like that - while not AMAZING, let's be honest - is still very decent for the price !!

I would start with a cheap but VERY convincing multi FX like this one:

I find that crazy that you can get that decent of a sound at that price. What a time to be a (bedroom) guitarist

I always wonder how people who have like 5-6 guitars hanging on their wall manage them over the course of a year. Dust, humidity, temperature... In an average room, it's a nightmare to take care of
-
I'm really amazed by this HB collection. It's kinda off topic, but they also have multi fx now:
Harley Benton DNAfx GiT https://thmn.to/thoprod/478040?offid=1&affid=1771
And they don't seem to worse than an ampero or something similar. Crazy times

That's really cool !! How in hell did you do that?
-
Are you still in love with it?

For what it's worth, I did make my own Harley Benton in the past, with a kit like this:
https://thmn.to/thoprod/115992?offid=1&affid=1771
It's really cool to make and I gotta say you learn a lot by building your own guitar.
And tbh the quality of HBs now are insane for the price... I'd recommend that to anyone who wants to start or needs a cheap guitar on the side (travel etc).
It's not Fender quality of course, but it's still pretty, pretty good

Well hello -like my name says, I'm an occasional guitar player
I've got GAS like anyone else, I do have a nice guitar collection, Ibanez, Fender, Gibson, Musicman, etc, and what i love to do is trade gear so I can try as much stuff as possible. Guilty.
At least my wife leaves me alone when I don't just spend too much...
I mostly listen to blues, pop, rock, and some prog here and there.
See ya!

PRS Gold Top

Posted
Hi,
I was looking at expanding my guitar collection and found this on sale -I've always had an attraction/repulsion relationship with PRS but this one... I don't know, it has something.
What do you think?
