I don't see any reason why what you've proposed wouldn't work, but I'd also be looking at a one-box solution - the Zooms mentioned would be one option, or e.g. the Line 6 HX Stomp/Stomp XL depending on how many switches you need/want.

Personally I wouldn't go for a single footswitch looper pedal -- your mileage may vary, but I found having to keep what the footswitch does at a given time in my head quite difficult. From your list, I'd probably go with the Mooer on that basis. (The Aeros looks nice but way over budget?)

I have a Conkin 7 string guitar which has Sperzel locking tuners and a two-point trem, but I'm finding that when using the trem (gently, no Steve Vai acrobatics) the tuning is drifting pretty significantly almost immediately. I thought the point of locking tuners was to mitigate against this? I have had Floyd Rose types in the past that were rock solid, has that just distorted my expectations? The tuning is very stable if I leave the whammy bar alone...

I'm a big fan of multi-fx in general and Line 6 ones in particular, having had a Pod X3 Live and now an HX Stomp, with the caveat that it does help to rtfm for your chosen unit.

You get way more flexibility, although the learning curve may be steeper then with separate pedals. For me that's a good trade off.

No, not a budget option, although they hold their value well in the used market.

Looking elsewhere, I've not used a Zoom MFX since about 2002 but the Zoom G1 looks to have delay trails configurable per effect (see the delay/reverb sections in the effects list). I'd imagine the other Zoom models have similar.

edit: slight correction -- it looks like only some delay models have the trails option.

I believe this is configurable in the Line6 Helix line, see trails here.

The wooden knobs and pickup covers, chunky looking backplate and freehand logo suggests a small independent builder to me -- I had thought Mayones but the logo's not right.

Good quality entry-level fanned fret guitar with 25.5"-27" scale. Locking tuners. Set up with a very playable medium-low action.

Excellent condition. There are some minor finish blemishes around the faux binding which seem to have come from the factory but nothing you can see from more than a foot away.

Only other issue is that the G tuner no longer locks -- it still functions fine as a normal tuner and holds tune with no problems.

£300 new, looking for £150. Not really looking for trades or PX as I'm trying to thin the herd slightly but feel free to try me -- could be tempted by a 7 string with a locking trem or a 5 string bass with a 35"+ scale. Collection or may be able to meet in central Glasgow. No case included so would rather not ship, but if you're really keen give me a shout and I can look into it.

I have good feedback going back many years over on basschat.

It's now been to see Jimmy Egypt who drilled and refilled the holes and re-glued the bridge posts back in - looks like the body wood wasn't quite hard enough to take the pressure so the holes were getting pushed long. I hadn't realised how much it was affecting the bridge angle, though. A routine job for a competent tech

It needs a some luthier attention for some other minor issues anyway so I'll ask them to have a look at it. I don't think anyone needs to see me trying to epoxy stuff together.

Thanks -- I think what you've identified as a wooden plug is actually the brass plug that's fixed into the wood -- but I'm right to expect that they should be roughly perpendicular to the angle of the strings?

Picked up a Conklin Groove Tools guitar recently, which is rather nice, but I'm a little concerned that the posts that the trem pivots on have lifted over time -- they're pointing somewhat more towards the headstock than I would expect, but maybe that's intended? Any way to tell? I've marked the approximate vertical angle and the actual angle they sit at on the photo.

Any advice appreciated.
