NickNSD1978 Posted Sunday at 11:42 Posted Sunday at 11:42 Hi, beginner here, been learning for about 2 months now. Considering a Yamaha APX 600. Currently learning on a squire bullet Strat but want to go down the acoustic route. Is the action height anything to be concerned about on the Yamaha bearing in mind I’m only a beginner so won’t really know the difference yet between a high and low action. Also considering the GS mini. Thank you Quote

I would strongly recommend taking the time to go to a decently-stocked music shop, and try a few of their acoustics. You don't have to come out with a purchase (but the temptation will be strong..!); you will learn, for yourself, what differences in feel, sound, price exist between makes and models. Don't be afraid to try a high-end guitar, just for comparison. You will be in a far better position to choose, and may even find a decent second-hand, or 'B-stock', that you like and can afford. Take your time, there's no rush. Just my tuppence-worth. Quote
