  1. I’m a wholly self-taught guitarist and like many others, I’ve found myself in a rut. I play acoustic and I kinda want to venture in to the world of creating my own fingerstyle arrangements. I have some idea of where to start but I don’t exactly know how to make my arrangements interesting? I fear I lack the technical skills to do so. How do I get out of this?
  2. i'm very VERY new to guitar and am thinking about buying an upgrade from the awful cheap one i found in the loft. should i buy n electro acoustic or a regular acoustic? if i get an electro acoustic, do i need an amp? this is the guitar i would like to buy, this is the regular acoustic version. any help is really appreciated! thank you all <3
  3. Hi, I have the chance to buy a Marshall as50r soloist acoustic amp for a good price. I was just wondering if anyone had one? I was wanting an amp that's able to accommodate for instrument and vocal which this one does but is it possible to hook it straight up to a PA system if I were to use it for gigs? Is it worth buying now or saving up for something else? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
  4. I am a guitar player of 2 years. I have used the same Yamaha F310 throughout. It is an acoustic guitar. Today, my low E string randomly ‘popped’ and unwinded itself near the bridge pin... more accurately it almost stretched itself out. The change in tension made the string completely loose. When i decided to restring it, i noticed the tuner felt loose, and took some labour to turn. It slipped a few times before getting into tune. After noodling for a bit, i went for a full bend on my B string and it dropped 2 whole tones in tune. This continued on the same string. Is my guitar broken?? It could be placebo but the action felt a bit funny after i restringed too. For context, i am a very ambitious player. I play percussive fingerstyle guitar, and i bend excessively. I do all my bends on the B string generally. I am in need of urgent advice as i practice non stop and do not want to take a break from my passion. All support is very appreciated.
  5. I have asked this question on Basschat just thought I would try guitarchat too. has anyone seen one of these before, interested in its origins. General consensus seems to be that it’s a one of body using a spare EKO neck?
  6. Number 007 of 100 from the "Living Jewels" Gallery Series. Spruce top with quilted maple back and sides, maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Faux tortoiseshell and abalone binding to all edges. Stunning turtles inlay on the neck with a turtle pursuing a jellyfish inlaid on the beautiful quilted back. Simply fabulous guitar in unmarked, pristine condition with no issues whatsoever. Comes with original Taylor hard case and Certificate of Authenticity.
  7. Part of the Taylor GS series, the GS8 uses Taylor's Grand Symphony body shape. This guitar has a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, is in fantastic condition and sounds great, will throw in a top of the range rare earth pickup system. Ideal for picking or strumming, check out the reviews online. Any marks in the pics are just light or reflections from the camera flash on my phone. The guitar is in mint condition with lovely aged wood, sounds and plays lovely. This guitar isn't made anymore and is one of the all time Taylor classic models, check out some reviews here https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234120 You can check out my feedback on Basschat the sister site to this one for bass players.
  8. It may just be a ratty old Eko from a jumble sale or a cosseted James Olsen original but this is the place to show off your guitar collection... I've got a couple of electrics, a couple of acoustics and some other bits and bobs... here they are. Now time to share yours!
