That does not sound right to me. I am not an electrical engineer, but your amp should not be picking up noise from the mains. It sounds like a ground issue on the amp side. Do you get similar issues with other amps?

Hello everyone, I started playing over 20 years but I have found it very difficult to get motivated in the last 7 years. Mainly as play on my own, so getting motivated is difficult. I am hoping that joining a forum will help in the right direction.
