  1. Hey there! Chris from Brixham, Devon here. I first picked up the guitar when I was 11. My Dad's old Columbus SG copy, made from plywood, which me and my Dad used to play through his hifi! Fast forward 30 odd years and I'm making a break for the low end and learning the bass guitar. I'll still not forget my roots as I've played guitar in bands and stuff when I was younger. My rig looks as follows: 1987 Fender Japanese ST-62 Strat (for sale) Squier Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster Gibson Les Paul Studio Mid 70s Columbus SG Copy Ampmaker WF-55 Tweed Champ clone Home made pedalboard with various kit build pedals Cheers! Chris.
  2. I'm selling my fairly recently acquired 1987 Fender Japan '62 Reissue Strat to raise funds for a Bass purchase. I'm going to concentrate on my bass playing for a while and I'm really just not a Strat guy, if I'm honest. It's a 1987 STD-62, from the acclaimed Fujigen factory in Japan, in "Vintage White", though the colour presents more as "Butterscotch". Serial number is E713105. Price reduced to £725. A bargain!! This guitar is unmolested, with original electronics and hardware, other than a new nut that was installed a few months ago and an additional tremolo spring. It plays superbly, with a nice low action and was professionally set up by Torbay Guitar Repairs at the same time as having the nut replaced (with a hand cut bone nut). The pickups are Alnico, as you can see from the pictures. The fingerboard has lovely rolled edges and the frets are in really good condition. The build quality on this guitar is superb, as are the tones. I've got it set up with Rotosound 10s and the bridge is currently "decked". Condition-wise, it's by no means pristine and bares some battle scars. It won't appeal to anyone into mint, just out the box guitars. This one has had a life and is displaying just the right amount of patina for a 35 year old instrument. It's also by no means "heavily relic'd" either. It's a lovely instrument, but it's just not "me" at this point in time, so I'm letting it go to someone who will play it. I would be open to trades for a similarly priced Precision Bass. Comes with the original 80's gig bag. I would prefer not to post the guitar, as I have no hardcase or packaging but I would be happy to meet somewhere, within reason. Cheers, Chris.
