  2. agreed, it's a nice piece of wood for the top and the staining really brings it out
  3. So this finally arrived. Weighing in at 7 pounds and 4 ounces. It's very nice, some people will hate it, some people will say it's not an exact replica (I know it isn't) It has an enormous neck and plays beautifully I waited 18 months for it and get to gig it tomorrow and Sunday
  4. I've already got one!!!!1 It's on it's way, I'll post up pictures and details when it arrives
  5. these were good guitars. My brother had one, it sounded great
  6. my christmas pressy hasn't come yet, hopefully soon though and I'll post a picture when it does (it's Brian May related, not that I'm a fan boi or anything, I just love his guitars)
  7. I've recently bought a HB PB50 bass. I rolled the fingerboard edges and gigged it last week. £105. unbelievable
  8. I did the upside strat many years ago. Sounded great but upper fret access was terrible. Sold it to a lefty handed mate in 1990 and he still uses it now
  9. no that's how it comes. It's wonderful
  10. it glows in my music room, I think it's alive
  11. My first guitar amp was my brothers old 50 watt marshall, master volume 2x12 combo. These were great amps and when I eventuall joined a band on guitar just over 20 years ago, I bought the head version and ran it into an old marxhall 4x12 with green backs in it. This servered me well till I went to a Superbass Head with a Marshall Powerbreak. At the time I was palying with Martin Kidd (Cornford/Victory designer) and we're good friends. He made me a 50 watt head, with dual masters volumes and a gain boost section, which meant no O/D pedal needed. FX loop. It was awesome and so I set up a company and sold a few. http://www.wkz-amps.com There's a great sound clip on the website, demoing what you can do with it. A simple amp with a great core sound. The lengendary Producer, The late great Chris Tsangarides played one live with his band ExMoore and recorded almost everyone that came into his studio with it. They haven't been available to buy for many years now as I have moved on but I still play live with Martin a few times a year. I still have a White half stack, a 50 watt combo and the prototype 18 watt combo. All working perfectly but not being gigged anymore as thy are too heavy for my aging body. There are plenty of good valve amps out there. I also have a modified Vox AC30 CCX. I have changed some resistors in it, as found on a website somewhere, to make it sound better. It worked, it's a lovely sounding thing, with blue speakers. I keep it in my office, at work, for the times I need to learn something. Again a touch too heavy to gig with now
  12. I bought this recently, for my 80s duo and band. It is the most pink colour ever. Neon, very hard to photograph Anyway, I've already upgraded the pickups to Yonderbosk and changed the volume pot for the thing that BM currently uses live
  13. Here's my almost mint Vintage. Bought for a Stereophonics tribute that I no longer do. Nicely set up and with Vintage soft case. I could probably courier it but would rather meet up etc any questions, send me a message
  14. The Vintages are very good actually. I have 4 at the moment. Great value and good gigging guitars. I've not tried the Marshall but I'm sure it's good to be getting on with for now
  15. for me it's Brian May. Utterly unique tone
  16. I like big necks, so it's a positive for me. At some point I'm sure mine will arrive
  17. er yes, he sent me some, I forgot
  18. I havent got any no. It's #1 of the 21 that Andy made. Does your super have a massive neck like the original?
  19. nice collection you have there I have a BMG super on order (who knows when it will be ready) and my brother has one of Andy Guyton's Borap Red Specials. The Guyton is really quite special
  20. yes I like the natural one too. They really do have their own sound and they work really well in rock music. I play mainly 80s stuff, including some Queen and some very clean stuff too.
  21. Here are mine. I gig the unsigned one, it has been my main gigging guitar for over 2 years now. It has Yonderbosk pickups and Gotoh locking tuners (the original tuners are very fiddly and makes quick string changes (during gigs) very difficult) It also has a volume pot mod. It's called the 'Superpot' and is what Brian currently uses
  22. I didn't even know they did a Paisley JV. Excellent. Gotta be worth £1500 I would say, maybe more
