  1. I turned up to rehearsal on Monday and found that our guitarist had decided to celebrate Christmas early this year and had treated himself to an EVH Frankenstein Frankenstrat Replica. Not the £700 one mind, but the $25,000 Fender-Charvel variety! I have to say it's an absolute beast of a guitar and the attention to detail is phenomenal. it comes with loads of candy, a reliced flight case and just has that sound in spades. As an aside, if anyone is familiar with what I believe to be an original type Floyd Rose term and the specific tool you might need to tighten the trim arm, then your advice would be much appreciated by it's owner. We've both had a look at it and are undecided as to whether it's even possible. We decided it might be a nice idea to have a side by side shot of the 'monster' next to my pristine Ritter Cora.

  3. It's probably in the synaptic signals between the neurons your brain. Or, put another way, it's all down to personal perception.

  4. I think you'll find, if you read some of the madder posts in the dark corners of instrument forums, that tone is all in the wood. Or the pickups. Or the strings. Or the paint. Or in your head. Delete as applicable.

  6. We have a red and black rug in a sort of paisley pattern in our rehearsal room. Whenever I drop a pick it's easier to get a new one out than find it. That's my BF Supertwin and GK Fusion in the background.

  7. I stumbled across this place via basschat. Primarily a gyitar player that also plays bass. This site being uk based is a big plus for me. Posted at Harmony Central for years, but they hacked the site about and it went crap. UK market is also very different than US, so a UK site is better for me. A reviews section could be cool. But I'd rather it grow organically than get huge fast for the sake of it.

  8. They've probably all escaped and run off to set up a refuge where they feel empowered to explore a more plectrum orientated lifestyle that includes singing plectrum empowering world music, reading lifestyle magazines and periodicals exploring what it actually means to be plectrum aware, celebrating significant dates in the history of plectrums, promoting plectrum friendly destination holidays, and organising large scale public events to raise awareness of plectrum friendly alternative perspectives on pressing issues of public interest.

  9. Now now YT. Let's not get carried away again, you know what the judge had to say about that last time.
